The Auditions

A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who submitted an audition video to be a featured soloist in our medleys! We were thrilled with the incredible response—68 audition videos from private singers and choir members. 😲👏

Our audition team - made up of 7 dedicated members of our team who volunteered almost 8 hours of their Sunday reviewing each video - carefully considered every submission and most importantly the jigsaw of fitting everything together alongside the choir numbers. While we couldn’t include everyone, you should be so proud of yourself for taking that bold step—it’s an achievement in itself, and we’re proud of you! We shed tears, heard some of you sing like we have never heard before, and we beamed with smiles!

We saw a fantastic variety of songs in the auditions, and while we can’t use them all due to a limited time in the theatre, you might find yourself singing a different part, joining a small group, or providing vital backing vocals. Every role is crucial, and we’re excited that we managed to feature so many of you! We worked really hard to ensure each song has the perfect balance of types of voices so no one gets overshadowed. We also needed to consider those who we knew could sing close and balanced harmonies, and looked at the variety of the concert programme (in terms of songs, genres and mood) overall. We hope you can trust our collective decisions, and know that there will be many opportunities in the future to showcase you again.

A special shoutout to those who may not have got a featured role or  didn’t audition but still want to be involved! There are plenty of behind-the-scenes opportunities to get involved, such as helping with costume ideas, assisting with dressing room allocations, running errands on big rehearsal days, and so much more. Every role, whether on stage or behind the scenes, plays a vital part in making this production a success, and we’d love to have you contribute in any way you can! Give us a message!

Below is the first draft of the grid that shows for each song, who is performing and in some cases if there is a specific voice part or backing vocals (BV).  This also includes our choir and group numbers. This may still be subject to change

We encourage all of our private students who have a part in the show, to also learn the choruses for the final 3 songs so that we can all celebrate on stage together at the end. If you do not want to be part of the group songs, please let us know.

We will be uploading the lyrics for each of our chosen songs BELOW and to MyMusicStaff and these will have your parts highlighted or colour coded - simply find the medley you are in, download the lyrics and rehearsal track and get practicing!

We'll be arranging additional rehearsals soon, so watch this space!

These are essential for all singers in medleys to attend as we need to get everyone singing together as soon as possible. 

Don't worry though, they don't last for hours....

🎵 Monday 14th April - All Saints Church hall. 

Please only arrive in time for your song as there will be an event in church from 6pm and we need to keep the number of people waiting around to a minimum....

4.30pm-5pm - Taylor Swift medley

5.05pm-5.35pm - ABBA medley

5.40pm-6.10pm - This is me/you will be found medley

6.15pm-6.45pm - Requiem

6.50pm-7.20pm - Get happy/happy days
